Oracle acquired Cerner!
#Cerner, an EHR company, will move toward becoming a health platform company and #Oracle, with healthcare among its top strategic priorities, will strengthen its foothold in the industry.
I am particularly excited about the potential improvements that can be realized within Cerner via this #acquisition.
Sharing this #infographic that I put together some time back, I believe that there are five areas of improvement that can be realized:
1. #UIUX
2. #Integration
3. #Customization
4. #Collaboration
5. #Reporting
I understand that there are multiple instances of Cerner and it is difficult to generalize merits and demerits as each instance might have its own quirks.
Additionally, user experience can differ by geographies such as #US and #Canada, where #healthcare systems vary in certain respects, leading to different versions of the software.
Aside from the software version differences, there are some prevalent themes in the software that I have tried to compile here.
